The Trentham Library staff recommends the book reviewed below.
The book Twelve Extraordinary Women: How God Shaped Women of the Bible, and What He Wants to Do with You by John MacArthur examines the trials and successes of twelve extraordinary women from the New and Old Testament. Each woman was crucial to God’s plan of sending a savior to redeem us of our sins. Some of the women were Jesus’ ancestors and some were his earliest followers. These women were not perfect but they had a genuine desire to serve and worship God. The author shows that the struggles these women faced are the same struggles we face today. These women were made extraordinary by their relationship with God. In Twelve Extraordinary Women, you'll learn more than fascinating information about these women, you'll discover-perhaps for the first time-the unmistakable chronology of God's redemptive work in history through their lives. These women were not ancillary to His plan, they were at the very heart of it. This book is available in the Trentham Library.
