Making a joyful noise unto the Lord is what this group is all about! If you love to sing, laugh and praise the Lord and happen to be age 55 or over, then this group is for you.
Every Wednesday at 4:30pm, a group of 20 to 30 Senior Adults gather in the choir room of the First Baptist Church. Under the capable leadership of Greg Steele, our Minister of Music, and Julie Thompson, our instrumentalist, we raise our voices in praise to our Lord, who blesses our lives in so many ways.
We consider it a blessing to be able to assemble, sing hymns, do musical dramas, and learn beautiful arrangements designed and written especially for Senior Adults.
We count it a privilege to share our talents with the congregation of the First Baptist Church on many Sunday evenings and special occasions such as Christmas and Easter. The saints at Merryvale enjoy our performances at special seasons of the year.
At the conclusion of practice, we offer a prayer for the sick, the bereaved, and other concerns of the group that God will have His way as He deals with our loved ones.
