The 2 Year Old Sunday School Class is for those boys and girls who are two by September 1st. These children are inquisitive, shy, bold, loving, trusting, curious, energetic and have a great desire to learn. Their learning takes place through their play, including art, group games, individual play, music, and snack time. All play is directed toward the Biblical Truth for that day. The 2 Year Old class learns:
- that God made the world, including themselves and their families,
- to obey God, and how people in the Bible obeyed God
- how God helped the people, and God wants people to help others
- about Jesus' birth
- about Jesus and his friends
- about telling others about Jesus
Children in this class learn that Jesus and God are special, and respond to Bible stories and songs. They are learning to talk to God and say thank you to God through music and prayer. The main objective of this class is to guide each child to Jesus. Teaching 2 Year Olds is such a rewarding ministry. As we think back to our preschool years, we remember so well that our Sunday School teachers loved us and cared about us. Our desire is that each child will know that Jesus loves them, and that their teachers love them too. What a great privilege and blessing it is to teach these young children.
