Children's Ministry Center Touching the lives of children with God's love. Toddler 1:
Our objective in the Toddler 1 class is to foster the children's self-identity and instill a positive "school" experience. We do this by nurturing the child's physical, emotional, and mental development. To reach this objective, we provide:
- a safe, attractive environment with sufficient routine and creative playtime
- loving, caring adults to help the children experience trust.
- lessons to help the children learn to respect other children and develop friendships
- basic love expressed through gentleness blended with sufficient firmness.
The curricula of the Toddler 1 class is geared toward skill level. The overall curriculum in this class remains flexible, as this is an adjustment time before the children move up into a slightly more structured schedule in the 2 Year Old class.
Each day our schedule includes playtime inside or outside if weather permits, music, book time and an occasional art project, lunch, occasional movie time, and free time. Play time and art projects provide the children opportunities to work on motor skills, social skills, taking turns, and being kind to one another.
