Senior Adult Ministry
The Senior Adult Ministry at FBC-Covington has a long and treasured history. This group has always been active in many different ways, and still strives to worship and serve God as they enjoy their golden years.
In the words of our former pastor, Len Strozier, Godly Senior Adults are the mentors for the rest of the church. They know how to pray, study the scriptures, worship God. Their group usually paves the way in financial stewardship and sacrifice. Senior adults are leaders in Christian fun and fellowship as well. The senior adult disciples of First Baptist, as a group, know how to work hard and play hard.
There are many opportunities to participate in Senior Adult activities. Every Sunday morning, there are many classes meet for Sunday School, where they strive to learn, worship, and thank God for the many blessings that they have enjoyed during their lifetimes. The Retired, Redeemed, and Rejoicing (3R's) group meets on the second Thursday of each month, enjoying a luncheon fellowship and informative program. The Senior Adult Choir meets each Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. to learn music that can be used as another way to glorify God. Numerous trips, from 1 day outings to week or more excursions to see and enjoy our beautiful country, are planned throughout the year.
As you can see, the Senior Adults of FBC-Covington are still going strong. If you think you have what it takes to keep up with this very active group, come and join the fun. You won't regret it!!
